I used to work in a fabric store, lo these many years agone, and one of my favorite times was the lead-up to Halloween, when people came in to buy supplies for their costumes. Some people knew exactly what they were doing and what they needed, some needed a bit of help, and some people were pretty desperate. :) I'll never forget the poor guy who came in on Halloween one year at around two in the afternoon, and said "I have a party to go to tonight and I don't know what I want to be and I can't sew, help me!" [facepalm]
What would you have told him...? Get creative, and let's see what we can come up with that'd work in just a few hours with bare minimum (like, kid-level) sewing required, or even none at all. :)
As usual, everyone who comments here today gets one slip in the drawing for each of my posts they comment on. The prize this time is a Halloween bundle of my stories -- all three of my Halloween Sips ("Chasing Fear," "Candy Courage," and "Reach Out and Touch" all of which are Hidden Magic stories) plus my ghost story, "A Spirit of Vengeance."
And if you're a fan and already have one or more of these stories, aside from my profuse thanks :) if you like you can give me a friend's e-mail address and I'll send them the duplicate story. So even if you only need one or two from the bundle, it's still worthwhile to enter.
